What We Provide

We provide fast and accurate aerial mapping using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a fraction of the cost of a manned ground operation. We provide the following aerial survey measurement solutions:

Our high resolution imagery is created using camera equipment and gimbals from DJI. We use ground control points and survey equipment to lockdown final imagery to within 2cm accuracy.


We use industry leading software Pix4D Mapper Pro to stitch 100’s of survey imagery captured during the automated grid mapping mission. These can then be viewed in a final visible map or exported in tiles.


Image stitching identifies common points to build up a 3D point cloud similar to LIDAR. This can be used to create Digital Terrain Maps (DTM), Digital Surface Models (DSM) and Digital Elevation Models (DEM).


We can create 3D terrain models in several common formats for 3D viewers and GIS softwares. The mesh and texture together provide accurate measurements in 3D and visual reference points on the ground.


Our map data can be supplied in formats compatible with ArcGIS, QGIS and Global Mapper amongst others. These programs can then be used to make site calculations for distances, areas and volumes.


We can supply the quality report generated by Pix4D Mapper Pro giving details on how accurate the survey was. Details from this can be added to tolerances in engineering calculations.

Please note: we are not qualified surveyors, rather we provide imagery data for assessment. It is therefore most suitable for us to work alongside a professional surveyor or site manager depending survey work required.

Our work is used in several sectors and situations. Some examples include:

In construction aerial mapping surveys can provide useful topographical site information for planning and design. Measurements can also be taken quickly and extensively as construction progresses.


3D terrain models are excellent for measuring and monitoring cut and fill operations for building site and road cutting construction. This is a massive time saver for these rapidly moving operations.


3D mapping can be used for existing building inspection to calculate exterior surface areas of wall and roof coverings. Ideal for calculating replacement rendering, cladding and tile areas and amounts.


With a 3D model of the quarry stockpiles can quickly be assessed using 3D volumetric tools. This provides a precise inventory on site at any time towards future management decision making.


Floodplains on rivers and estuaries can be assessed using DEMs. Habitats can be mapped such as nature reserves. In agriculture mapping can be used to for smarter spraying reducing environmental impact.


Aerial mapping can be used to assess crime or accident scenes. Such data must be captured accurately and in a short time scale to prevent prolonged closure of public spaces.
